Job Requirements
- Applicant must be age 18 or over
- Hold a valid state driver's license
- Have regular and predictable access to own automobile
- Clean driving record with no convictions for DWI
- No more than two speeding violations in the last three years
- No at fault accidents or only one minor at fault accident
- Proof of insurance coverage in compliance with state laws
- Ability to stand for extensive periods
- Ability to repeatedly get in and out of automobile
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and reach effectively
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance
- Ability to use equipment including cash registers, calculators, and telephone
- Ability to work in environments with temperature fluctuations
- Ability to walk briskly and carry heavy items
- Ability to understand and follow delivery directions
- Compliance with health department regulations and company dress code
- Not currently infected with communicable diseases transmissible through food handling
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- At least six months work experience preferred for non-students
- Ability to memorize menu abbreviations and prices
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to count change correctly and handle money and credit card charge slips
- Ability to operate motor vehicles safely
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling
Job Duties
- Picking up the customer's food order at Jason's Deli
- Driving to the customer's residential or commercial address
- Delivering the customer's order
- Performing catering set-up or arranging the catering and food orders
- Collecting the money owed by the customer
- Returning to the deli and picking up additional orders and repeating the above process
- Answering customer questions or handling customers' problems while at the delivery site
