Job Requirements

  • No degree required
  • 1+ years of driving experience
  • valid driver's license
  • safe driving record
  • must qualify for corporate vehicle insurance
  • meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements
  • knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
  • at least 21 years of age
  • comply with state and local mandated requirements
  • successful completion of annual training
  • ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • availability to work in demanding physical conditions including cramped spaces and varying temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • must qualify for corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance
  • knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret graphs
  • frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • moderately complex oral and written communication skills
  • ability to train others and interact with middle management
  • ability to handle routine problems by following clear directions and procedures
  • ability to set personal goals and determine how to achieve results with limited supervision
  • ability to handle multiple moderately complex tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Drive a company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents
  • physically load company truck at the location and verify the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other paperwork associated with the deliveries
  • drive to the delivery destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location confirming the accuracy of parts received, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded
  • make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts on parts being returned from customers to the location
  • collect accounts receivable as necessary
  • comply with established company policies and procedures
  • successfully complete annual training as assigned
  • operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
  • provide excellent customer service during delivery and pick up of products
  • assume other duties as assigned
