Job Requirements
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- must be at least 21 years of age
- ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. unassisted regularly
- 1-3 years of successful experience in customer-facing roles
- high school diploma or equivalent GED
- must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen
- must successfully complete physical including DOT Medical Card
- must pass background check and motor vehicle record check
- employment dependent on maintaining all DOT and driving certifications if applicable
- willingness to obtain forklift certification if required
- working hours include weekends and holidays
- flexibility for occasional overtime and weekend work
- availability to travel to other locations
- subject to random and post-accident drug screening
- signed nondisclosure agreement required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- 2+ years’ work experience driving is a plus
- 1-3 years of successful experience in customer-facing roles
- valid state-issued driver’s license
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in using a hand truck
- understanding of basic furniture assembly
- ability to safely operate small power tools
- willingness to obtain forklift certification if required
- ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. regularly
- ability to read invoices and utilize systems for customer service
- must be at least 21 years of age
Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional customer service and experience
- act as the brand ambassador while on the road and during deliveries for Scandinavian Designs | Dania Furniture
- provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service while delivering high-quality products to customers' homes and businesses
- bring solutions including furniture assembly or repairs and other value-added services
- develop and maintain comprehensive product knowledge to assist customers
- drive large box trucks safely and courteously, follow traffic laws and company safety procedures
- maintain a timely delivery schedule, contact customers to confirm delivery details
- inspect delivery vehicles pre and post trip
- maintain accurate delivery logs and records
- guarantee safe and professional transport and delivery of products
- safely load and unload merchandise, ensure it is in perfect condition
- assemble furniture, affix tickets, prepare and place merchandise in delivery staging area
- review and verify invoices and purchase requests for accuracy
- maintain accurate inventory
- remove packaging materials and debris for clean deliveries
- assist with showroom changes, tagging merchandise, and maintaining displays
- greet clients and answer phones professionally
- may require driving long distances with overnight stays
- perform other duties or special projects as assigned
