Job Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles
- Current medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry weight as per physical demands
- Ability to perform physical activities including sitting continuously, standing occasionally, walking frequently, bending occasionally, reaching continuously, and other specified movements
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows and Internet
- Ability to comply with all safety and traffic regulations
- Willingness to perform warehouse duties as needed
Job Qualifications
- Two years of work experience preferred
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation preferred
- Good knowledge of electrical products/systems preferred
- Minimum of 21 years of age required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Current medical certification required
- Clean driving record essential
- Working knowledge of PC for Windows and Internet required
- SAP software knowledge is a plus
- Ability to perform all aspects of the job accurately and efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Ability to effectively plan and organize
- Excellent customer service skills including being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged
Job Duties
- Provide delivery of material to Border States branches and customer sites based on business needs
- Maintain delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitor maintenance and mileage data
- Schedule DOT/state mandated inspection visits as required
- Maintain daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets
- Complete truck summary, driver’s log and other backup detail daily, pay truck expenses and update records
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations
- Load and unload material at branch and customer locations
- Perform warehouse functions including order filling, stocking shelves, processing returns, receiving and shipping as needed
- Assist with other duties/projects as assigned
- May conduct Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of daily route
- Maintain shipping equipment and keep work area clean and safe
- Assist City Desk and Will Call areas with customer service functions such as order entry, filling orders, processing returns, expediting, and technical assistance
