Job Requirements

  • Ability to sit for 4 to 5 hours daily with frequent physical activity
  • Frequent lifting of 10 to 35 pounds and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Continuous pushing/pulling of 10 to 50 pounds and frequent pushing/pulling of 50 to 100 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally push or pull over 100 pounds
  • Capability to work in moderate temperature conditions with possible high noise levels
  • Availability to travel 50% of the workday delivering products
  • Willingness to work extra hours as needed
  • Ability to walk cylinders daily

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years truck driving experience preferred
  • Manual Class A license with Hazardous Material Endorsements required, Tanker Endorsement preferred
  • Basic knowledge of gases and cryogenics preferred
  • Industry experience handling cylinders desired
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic customer service experience
  • Organized with good reasoning, math, and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Pull and scan orders for daily truck loading
  • Operate company vehicle safely and courteously
  • Drive a 200-mile standard metro delivery route
  • Serve as liaison to sales and management, reporting on progress
  • Perform daily pre/post-trip truck safety inspections and complete DOT paperwork
  • Unload items and process paperwork at customer locations
  • Ensure accurate delivery per customer invoices
  • Provide receipts or credit forms for merchandise
  • Complete dock and tailgate stops, replace empty cylinders, and perform customer service tasks
  • Return credit merchandise with paperwork and notify management
  • Offload empty cylinders at terminal
  • Sort delivery tickets and prepare routes
  • Double check and forward invoices
  • Maintain a neat and clean workplace
