Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Utah driver’s license
  • CDL B driver’s license or willingness to obtain
  • physical ability to lift up to 130 lbs
  • reliable and punctual with predictable attendance
  • able to perform tasks without on-site supervision
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
  • ability to handle some hazardous chemicals
  • able to meet delivery deadlines and adapt to schedule changes
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to maintain records and follow district policies

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Utah driver’s license
  • CDL B driver’s license or willing to obtain
  • truck driver delivery experience preferred
  • ability to perform basic math computations
  • skilled in driving trucks and operating forklifts and pallet jacks
  • skilled in loading trucks for quick unloading
  • ability to exercise extreme caution on school property

Job Duties

  • Operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated trucks to transport food, supplies, and equipment
  • operate material handling and motorized equipment to move food and supplies
  • use order sheets to pull products and verify accuracy
  • load and secure products into trucks for assigned routes
  • transport food and supplies on prearranged schedules to schools
  • coordinate delivery drop off areas with schools and verify delivered products
  • respond to emergency requisitions and make special deliveries
  • assist maintenance with lifting and transporting kitchen equipment
  • clean out and transport food during cooler outages
  • drop off and pick up Central Kitchen mail
  • load, unload, transport, and set up food and supplies for special events and programs
  • support Summer Feed program with supplies and receipting
  • maintain delivery records
  • train new drivers on routes and procedures
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • prepare mileage, accident, and damage reports
  • maintain fuel purchase card usage
  • ensure vehicle cleanliness
  • service vehicles and maintain fluid levels
  • report mechanical problems to management
  • adhere to safety standards
  • perform warehousing duties including receiving and offloading products
  • perform maintenance on trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks
  • assist in production and clean up duties as needed
