Job Requirements
- Must hold required commercial driver's license appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must have good communication and organization skills
- Reliable and predictable attendance is expected
- Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab
- Adequate transportation and personal communication devices to support safety and task fulfillment
Job Qualifications
- Must hold required commercial driver's license appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated and have a good driving record
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must have good communication and organization skills and be good at working with others
Job Duties
- Operate the agency's truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas following signals
- Assist with loading and unloading goods using specialized equipment when needed
- Maintain signed invoices and required paperwork and deliver documentation to appropriate staff
- Facilitate routine service on trucks including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air and report maintenance issues
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
