Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age to operate machinery
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to walk frequently around department from different appliances
- Ability to carry up to 60 pounds and push and pull up to 1000 pounds
- Ability to perform frequent motions of arms and hands to prepare food products
- Ability to bend to reach for products stored on a lower level
- Use of proper safety procedures
- Ability to listen to directions and follow through independently
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working with the public
- Time management skills
- Proper knife skills and proper sanitation knowledge
- Knowledge of different types of meats and fish
- Good communication and observation skills
- Ability to operate stove, hot plates, oven, fryer, and slicer
- Ability to slice, dice, and mince manually
Job Duties
- Greet customers when within ten feet and within four seconds of contact
- Assist in cooking food items such as make bentos, Japanese food items, roast chicken, fish, cutting vegetables for salads and other foods, prepping and slicing meats and cheeses for sandwiches, and cutting cakes
- Track food inventory and order from vendors if needed
- Track food quality, pull food that does not meet standards, conduct hourly temperature checks of food and warmers
- Keep workstation clean and organized by dusting, wiping, and sweeping area
- Wash and sanitize dishes, tools, and area
- Perform other related duties as assigned by manager
