Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- restaurant or retail experience preferred
- ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of 8 hours or more
- ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, reaching, balancing, pushing, and pulling loads of 40 pounds or more
- ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- restaurant or retail experience preferred
- experience as kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, or service staff is a plus
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- quick learner willing to work across various food preparation stations
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
Job Duties
- develop culinary skills by prepping bakery offerings, jerky, fudge, BBQ, and other menu items
- prepare Buc-ee's unique food service menu items according to prescribed recipes and maintain confidentiality
- adhere to company culinary recipes and measurements
- follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all food products
- guarantee safe food handling
- competently use Menu Ordering Kiosks, Kitchen Management System, and transaction devices
- maintain a clean workstation while promptly executing customer orders
- provide responsive communication with store management and associates
- safely and effectively operate kitchen equipment including floor mixers, slicers, ovens, sharp knives, and fryers
- professionally interact with team members and customers
- perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed
- work weekends and holidays as required
- maintain regular and prompt attendance
- work a rotating schedule alternating between day and night shifts as needed
