Job Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to perform medium work requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Visual clarity at distance of 20 inches to 20 feet
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly service including taking customer orders
- Take customer orders at the delicatessen counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Review orders for the day and understand proper sanitation procedures, ensuring the work area is clean and neat
- Check in product, put product away, review invoices
- Run department registers and receive payments
- Remove trash promptly
- Adhere to company policies and personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Report to work as scheduled and on time
- Wash dishes and order products and supplies as necessary
- Deliver orders as needed
- Price products
- Assist in other areas of store
- Perform other job related duties and special projects as required
