Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in deli or bakery food preparation a plus but not required
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation principles
- Strong customer service skills with effective communication abilities
- Ability to operate deli and bakery equipment safely
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain cleanliness and accurate product presentation
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and package quality deli and bakery products for customers
- Engage with customers at the service counter to assist with selections and inquiries
- Move incoming merchandise promptly to the sales floor for availability
- Clean and sanitize deli and bakery work areas according to food safety standards
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure product safety and freshness
- Maintain inventory levels by restocking products and rotating stock as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and maintain store standards
