Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be ServSafe certified or obtain certification within 6 months
- Proven leadership experience in food service environment
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to train employees and work within a team
- Honest and dependable
- Ability to lead by example and demonstrate good judgment
- Willingness to follow company policies and loss prevention procedures
- Availability to work all scheduled shifts and assist stores when needed
- Ability to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude
- Capability to negotiate with vendors and manage contracts
- Commitment to keep up to date with food service standards and legal requirements
Job Qualifications
- ServSafe certification or ability to become certified within 6 months
- Strong leadership skills with collective leadership style and strategic vision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience in training employees on food service procedures and sales programs
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with senior executives and team members
- Good judgment and the ability to lead through exemplary work habits
- Proven negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers
- Knowledge of brand standards and market plan development
- Above average initiative to research and recommend plans to expand food service category
- Ability to communicate development plans to management and co-workers
- Experience maintaining compliance with legal and food service standards
Job Duties
- Identify store food service potential and what is appropriate for each store
- Ensure a safe and clean food service area for the customer through constant communication with RLs and DLs
- Recommend product lines, promotions of specials, and monitor the implementation of the programs with DLs
- Reinforce company customer service standards
- Develop all Team Members to have knowledge on food service standards and procedures
- Constantly monitor the presentation of food in the stores
- Constantly monitor the quality of the food products sold in stores
- Monitor competitive prices and products and recommend programs to the food service program
- Help identify store strengths and weaknesses in food service
- Offer solutions to Region Leaders and District Leaders on store problems related to food service
- Organize and prioritize promotions and products in the food service division
- Negotiate with vendors on equipment needs, products and special programs and promotions
- Meet on a regular basis with RLs and DLs to discuss current programs and future promotions
- Be dependable to co-workers
- Be available during all scheduled shifts to assist stores with food service issues
- Work closely with District Leaders, Team Leaders and Team Members on food service matters
- Be a constant help and go-to person for all food service queries
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of company policies
- Provide positive direction to others
- Control all training of the food service operation in stores
- Maintain a positive, cooperative attitude
- Report all incidents, problems or concerns to RLs and DLs to management
- Communicate with vendors on all food service issues
- Follow all loss prevention policies at all times
- Work closely with RLs and DLs on all food service promotions and problems in stores
- Be an integral part of the Sprint Mart Leadership Team
- Follow directions and instructions given by management
- Be involved in regional, departmental, and corporate strategies for the company as a whole
- Keep up to date with all legal and food service standards and procedures to the company
- Insure all stores are in compliance with all laws and ordinances pertaining to food service
- Wear appropriate business attire and the proper Sprint Mart uniform when representing the company
- Attend food service training classes to keep up to date on all food service standards
- Represent the company to vendors and at scheduled meetings
- Accomplish goals agreed to with management
- Uphold all company policies and procedures
