Job Requirements

  • One plus years of experience
  • Completion of H-E-B School of Retail Management training
  • Leadership experience with multiple direct reports
  • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
  • Function in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Ability to lift/carry 80-90 lbs regularly up to 500 feet
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, and reach overhead and side to side throughout shift
  • Possess hand/finger dexterity
  • Safely maneuver around mechanical parts and electrical risks
  • Work in cooler and extreme cold environments occasionally
  • Ability to work extended hours and rotating schedules including nights and weekends
  • Comfortable with moderate noise levels

Job Qualifications

  • Experience leading people, ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
  • Communication and organization skills
  • Ability to supervise and train a high-volume production team
  • Thorough understanding of retail accounting
  • Proficiency in H-E-B systems (XPTR, IMS, CICS2)
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate personal initiative and exceptional customer service
  • Ability to delegate, organize, and plan effectively
  • Ability to maintain efficient operations and troubleshoot equipment
  • Ability to supervise, train, and cross-train staff

Job Duties

  • Spend majority of time using independent judgment making business and employment decisions including hiring and disciplinary actions
  • Oversee the department providing a safe work environment and training, development, and performance appraisals
  • Manage ordering, display rotation, shrink control, sanitation, inventory control, scheduling, receiving, pricing, stocking, and financial results
  • Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department
  • Manage Partner morale and retention
  • Monitor department budget and payroll including product, labor, and expenses
  • Order products to maintain inventory levels
  • Perform all duties of a representative or specialist as needed
  • Develop and lead a retail sales team to provide customer service at the highest level
  • Promote services and products to maximize sales
  • Execute merchandising programs and promote marketing and store events
  • Achieve sales goals and prepare projections and forecasts
  • Control inventory and manage food costs and shrink
  • Ensure highest level of product quality and presentation
  • Ensure availability of seasonal items
  • Build customer relationships and enhance customer service through Partners
  • Ensure compliance with government and company regulations for product safety and sanitation
  • Maintain safety and sanitation of equipment and department
