Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 6 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to operate deli equipment according to company guidelines
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Possession or ability to obtain Food Safety Certification within 180 days
  • Ability to handle stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 6 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Ability to operate deli equipment like slicer, fryer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun
  • Proficient with computer applications for department operations
  • Possession of Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the deli department
  • Promote and execute consistent and compliant operating conditions
  • Provide fresh and appealing products with courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service
  • Execute merchandising plans mindful of standards, product levels, shrink, and sales trends
  • Supervise, train, and develop team members and provide coaching as needed
  • Ensure department profitability through accurate forecasting and ordering
  • Maintain safety and food handling compliance according to USDA and DOA regulations
  • Perform inventory planning, organize and execute inventory processes
  • Handle recalls and withdrawals of products timely
  • Collaborate with store leadership for hiring and performance management
  • Manage scheduling to ensure optimal customer service during peak hours
  • Adhere to wage and hour policies and ensure adherence to company safety protocols
