Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or retail supervisory role
- ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 55 lbs
- ability to stand, bend, stoop frequently
- manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination
- mental alertness
- knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- compliance with company policies and applicable laws

- working knowledge of all service deli job duties including food preparation and cooking
- strong communication skills
- leadership and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage people and maintain composure
- knowledge of employment laws and workplace practices
- understanding of company practices and deli policies
- knowledge of product variety, bakery standards, perishability, and food safety
- ability to operate kitchen utensils and equipment
- knowledge of basic mathematics
- ability to operate computer software and electronic ordering devices
- knowledge of profit and loss statements
- good attendance
- ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Champion company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed goals
- handle customer relations positively including complaint resolution
- supervise day-to-day service deli functions
- conduct daily inspections for quality, freshness, sanitation and safety
- assist with receiving, cleaning, preparing, cooking, slicing and packaging
- implement promotional and seasonal displays
- control shrink and expenses
- complete and monitor daily logs and reports
- order, receive and control inventory
- maintain and organize work areas, cooler and freezer
- ensure proper merchandising and compliance with labeling laws and company policies
- handle re-worked and reduced-to-clear items accurately
- comply with health and food safety standards
- assist customers with special orders and make product suggestions
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work and sales areas
- respond to incoming calls and customer complaints
- implement emergency procedures during equipment malfunctions
- schedule and train service deli associates
- monitor and report associate performance
- maintain confidentiality
- perform all duties safely, accurately and with integrity
- perform other necessary duties as assigned
