Job Requirements

  • valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification and maintain in good standing
  • full open availability
  • ability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance
  • willingness to work in temperature variations including ovens, freezers, and refrigerated displays
  • compliance with food safety and sanitation policies
  • capability to use deli equipment safely
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • commitment to consistent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in deli operations, food handling, or grocery retail
  • strong knowledge of deli preparation processes, food safety guidelines, and sanitation requirements
  • ability to analyze data and identify process improvements
  • detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • proficiency in basic computer applications like MS Word, Excel, and Email
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • must maintain all training and required certifications

Job Duties

  • Lead deli department operations
  • manage inventory proactively
  • demonstrate full proficiency in deli preparation and merchandising
  • ensure accurate item labeling and pricing
  • analyze production and sales data to optimize processes
  • ensure sanitation and safety compliance
  • report operational concerns to management
  • execute proper product rotation
  • conduct quality and date checks
  • execute seasonal promotions and merchandising
  • support club initiatives including inventory audits and shrink control
  • perform routine case inspections
  • assist with receiving and inspection
  • support inventory audit efforts
  • monitor product quality
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
