Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least three years of customer service experience
  • minimum two years of food service purchasing, preparation, or merchandising experience
  • food safety certification or willingness to obtain within one month

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum three years of customer service experience completing full service cycle
  • minimum two years in food service purchasing, preparation, or merchandising perishables
  • knowledge of buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
  • proficient interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills
  • food safety certification or commitment to obtain within one month
  • proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations applications
  • strong communication skills with diverse individuals
  • excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities

Job Duties

  • Oversee and direct deli department operations in the absence of the team leader
  • supervise work performance and conduct of team members
  • facilitate team member training and skill development
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • manage ordering, receiving, and merchandising of deli and related products
  • maintain product knowledge and assist customers with product selections
  • prioritize prep work, stocking, cleaning, and customer service tasks to ensure efficiency
