Job Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Food Handlers Certificate (ServSafe or ANSI compliant organization)
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Complete open availability including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Basic cooking/grilling skills
  • Conversational English skills
  • Ability to follow directions and established procedures with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Olivers kitchen recipes
  • Demonstrates proper food handling and safety procedures
  • Team-player who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear and effective communication style both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks in an evolving environment
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred
  • Basic math skills

Job Duties

  • Complete prep work for various areas of the Deli including panini/sandwich prep packer prep cook and salad bar production
  • Follow and complete daily production sheets
  • Aid with preparation of products according to the Companys specifications and recipes
  • Wash soak cut peel and chop ingredients by hand or machine
  • Package weigh and label products using the Cry-O-Vac (ROP) when appropriate
  • Consistently check and record all food temperatures in proper logs
  • Accurately practice FIFO product rotation to minimize and control spoilage and waste
  • Organize rotate and stock workstation and department supplies e.g. product ingredients paper goods packaging products etc.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas utensils and equipment e.g. floors counters windows workstations etc.
  • Operation of equipment e.g. stoves fryers oven etc.
  • Answers phones and pages promptly and courteously
  • Follow and comply with established procedures including Weights and Measures health and sanitation and safe work practices
  • Immediately reports safety hazards and violations to supervisors
  • Performs opening mid and closing duties as assigned
  • Works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors
