Job Duties

Provides superior customer service
takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
answers customer questions regarding products
prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product effectively
slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
assists in technical areas such as set-up and clean-up processes
uses suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs
cleans and sanitizes display cases
operates and maintains equipment properly
complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
complies with department and store operating procedures
records production and shrink for bakery
assists in baking, frying, and decorating
takes care of service counter customers and uses ordering system applications for deli
performs inventory management processes
prepares catering orders
performs sanitation and maintenance tasks for deli slicers
serves and packages prepared foods
educates customers on preparation and reheating instructions
prepackages condiments
cuts, slices, dices, and chops food in preparation for chefs
