Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Knowledge of computer systems and equipment
- Strong customer service skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of company orientation upon hire
- Food safety and sanitation training upon hire
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 55 lbs depending on department
- Willingness to work in a retail environment and interact with customers
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and perform physical movements as required
- Willingness to work part-time

- Knowledge of computer systems and equipment such as PC, scales, label machines

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service
- Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
- Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
- Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
- Slice, package, label, rotate, and cull products for quality
- Assist in technical areas such as setup and cleanup
- Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
- Clean and sanitize display cases
- Operate and maintain equipment properly
- Comply with food safety, sanitation, and store operating procedures
- Record production and shrink for bakery planning
- Use ordering system applications and inventory management for deli
- Ensure catering orders are prepared and ready
- Perform sanitation and maintenance for deli equipment
- Serve and package products at customer request
- Educate customers on preparation and reheating of foods
- Prepackage condiments and prepare food items as needed
