Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three years leadership experience in restaurant, retail or project management
  • Ability to follow through on systems and procedures
  • Analytical and mathematical proficiency
  • Computer proficiency including email, Word, Excel and database management

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in restaurant, retail or project management leadership for at least three years
  • Knowledge of organic and commercial food growing practices and certification requirements
  • Proficiency in commercial cooking or baking, preferably in deli or natural foods
  • Experience in prepared foods production, purchasing, merchandising and pricing
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience supervising and training employees

Job Duties

  • Manage selection, receipt, production, pricing, display and promotion of deli products
  • Supervise hiring, training, coaching and evaluation of deli department staff
  • Ensure compliance with National Organic Program (NOP) and WFC policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of deli department equipment and areas
  • Participate in storewide management and planning meetings
  • Resolve customer concerns and exceed customer service expectations
  • Schedule and post employee hours to ensure adequate departmental support
