Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age to work in a walk-in freezer or chill box and use a case cutter and knife
- Must be at least 18 years of age to clean, maintain, or operate a stove, oven, bread slicer, and any other power driven equipment
- Basic math skills
- Ability to multi task to accomplish work on time
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to work under minimal or no supervision
Job Qualifications
- Education in culinary arts preferred
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Basic math skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients such as trimming, cutting, and slicing meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetables
- Cook various hot entrees by following specific recipes and menu
- Prepare catering and customer orders
- Monitor hot showcase and refill with freshly prepared entrees
- Follow all safe food handling guidelines
- Greet customers promptly and courteously
- Take inventory and place orders with vendors
