Job Duties
- Determine which recipes need to be made each day by consulting production sheets and current inventory
- Strictly follow the system of documentation necessary to meet HACCP standards
- Utilize efficient cooking techniques and knife skills
- Deliver properly labeled, completed dishes to storage or customers as appropriate
- Work the deli counter and keep deli cases stocked and attractive
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace
- Maintain personal cleanliness including clean clothes, aprons, and person
- Inquire about and integrate short dated items from other departments for use in deli specials
- Understand cost of goods and margins as it pertains to recipe development
- Buy product as needed
- Communicate signage needs and work with management to promote deli offerings
- Greet and offer assistance to customers
- Treat people fairly, consistently and with respect
- Know product locations in order to assist customers throughout the store
- Abide by all co-op policies and procedures
- Participate in required training and meetings
- Keep the store orderly and clean
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
