Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency degree
- 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Food Service preferred
- Previous natural foods experience is a plus
- Maintain highest level of customer service
- Adapt to high volume retail environment
- Take initiative when problems arise

- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and organize

- Experienced with knives, slicers, scales, ovens
- Ability to cut and weigh deli items
Job Qualifications

- Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Food Service
- Previous experience in natural foods industry is a plus

Job Duties
- Ensures cleanliness of deli/bakery cases, storage area, and work area for safety
- Stocks deli/bakery cases including presentation, facing, filling, and organization
- Examines the rotation of deli/bakery products and discards expired items
- Responds to customer inquiries and assists with product purchases and selection
- Receives, inspects, and logs incoming products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Monitors point of purchase signs and promotional materials
- Operates and uses equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- Prepares various deli/bakery items using appropriate ingredients and cooking times
- Accurately weighs and labels products
- Participates in pre-inventory preparation and product tagging
- Maintains high product knowledge and preparation standards
- Regularly walks department to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Performs other duties as assigned
