Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to handle frequent lifting up to 30 pounds and occasional heavy lifting with assistance
- Capacity to work on hard surfaces with frequent bending, reaching, and stooping
- Ability to work in an indoor environment exposed to temperature extremes and cleaning agents
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and consistent attendance
Job Qualifications
- Work experience in a deli department preferred
- Prior experience with manual or power slicers and scales preferred
- Knowledge of deli products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Slice, package, and weigh deli products including meats and cheeses
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of deli and display cases
- Assist members by answering questions and recommending deli products
- Receive, inspect, stock, and rotate deli shipments following food safety policies
- Operate deli equipment and ensure sanitation
- Check scale systems for accuracy in weighing and pricing
- Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments
