Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older
- Hornbacher's age requirement for this role is 18 years of age or older
- able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- reliable and punctual
- able to follow health safety and sanitation regulations
- physical ability to lift and stand for long periods
- excellent interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous deli or food service experience is a plus
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- friendly and positive attitude
- ability to stand for extended periods
- basic math skills for weighing and packaging
- knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial
Job Duties
- Slice weigh package and label meat and cheese products for guests
- prepare and dish up salads
- serve food to guests through the hot case as applicable
- ensure deli case and product areas are stocked and visually appealing
- prepare meat cheese and veggie trays and other department products for merchandising and sale
- follow food safety guidelines and all health safety and sanitation regulations
- dish washing mixing ingredients assembling catering orders baking and frying products as needed
