Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 pounds
- Able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously for 8 hours per shift
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- Operate deli equipment safely
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Able to work in cooler and freezer environments
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Display outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Be able to lift/carry products weighing up to 70 lbs
- Be able to stand continuously up to 4 hours for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Perform general housekeeping
- Operate deli equipment safely
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Work in different temperature environments
Job Duties
- Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness of the deli department area
- Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
- Prepare special orders and party trays
- Operate meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment according to company standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment including cleaning shelves and floors
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
