Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- have an outgoing friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- have good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs horizontally and vertically without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours
- be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation including cleaning tables, floors, walls, cases, cooler, and freezer
- operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment and maintain safe working condition
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- be able to work in cooler and freezer temperature environments
- perform other related duties as assigned

Job Duties
- prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
- provide high level of customer service in the deli department
- arrange vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches
- assist customers with catering orders
- maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- operate deli equipment and maintain its safe working condition
- perform general housekeeping and cleaning tasks in the deli area
