Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Exhibit outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Ability to interact effectively with customers
- Ability to work flexible schedules that include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Ability to lift or carry products weighing up to 70 lbs from 4 to 60 inches for distances up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours
- Ability to stand continuously for up to 4 hours, for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Perform general housekeeping and clean and sanitize work areas
- Operate slicer and cooking equipment and maintain them in safe working order
- Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Ability to work in different temperature environments including cooler and freezer
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field

- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 70 lbs
- Food Handlers permit or ability to obtain one
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and arrange vegetables, sliced meats, and cheeses for sandwiches
- Assist customers with catering orders and special requests
- Operate slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of deli work areas including tables, floors, cases, coolers, and freezers
- Adhere to food safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Respond to customer inquiries and take special orders by phone
- Perform general housekeeping and equipment maintenance in the deli department
