Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Exhibit outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Be able to take direction and work in a team
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Be able to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs
  • Be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously and for a total of 8 hours per shift
  • Perform general housekeeping duties
  • Operate slicer and other deli equipment safely
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Be able to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
  • Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
  • Provide high level of customer service in the Deli department
  • Arrange vegetables, sliced meats, and cheeses for made-to-order sandwiches
  • Assist customers with catering orders
  • Maintain food safety standards and adhere to health regulations
  • Clean and sanitize the deli work area including tables, floors, walls, cases, cooler, and freezer
  • Operate deli equipment such as slicers, wrapping, and cooking devices safely
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the deli department
