Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older
- Hornbacher's age requirement is 18 years or older for this role
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capacity to lift and carry moderate weights
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Commitment to follow all company policies and food safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in deli or food service is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for weighing and labeling products
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Job Duties
- Slice, weigh, package, and label meat and cheese products for guests
- Prepare and dish up salads
- Serve food to guests through the hot case as applicable
- Ensure deli case and product areas are stocked and visually appealing
- Prepare meat and cheese trays, veggie trays, and other department products
- Follow food safety guidelines and health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Perform dish washing, mix ingredients, assemble catering orders, bake and fry products
