Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older
- Hornbacher's age requirement is 18 years or older
- Ability to work part-time hours
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous deli or food service experience is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
Job Duties
- Slice, weigh, package, and label meat and cheese products for guests
- Prepare and dish up salads
- Serve food to guests through the hot case as applicable
- Ensure the deli case and product areas are stocked and visually appealing
- Prepare meat, cheese, and vegetable trays for merchandising and sale
- Follow food safety guidelines and health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Assist with dishwashing, mixing ingredients, assembling catering orders, and baking/frying as needed
