Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent or relevant experience
- be dependable and reliable
- have an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have good communication skills
- able to take direction and participate in a team environment
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- able to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs without assistance
- able to stand continuously up to 4 hours, total 8 hours per shift
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- operate slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
- able to work in varying temperature environments
- perform related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- have good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs
- able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- able to operate deli equipment safely
- maintain food safety certifications
- ability to work in cooler and freezer environments
- willing to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- prepare fresh and easy meals such as made-to-order sandwiches
- arrange vegetables and sliced meats appealingly
- assist customers with catering orders
- maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- operate slicers and cooking equipment safely
- perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- adhere to all safety, health, and regulatory requirements including maintaining a Food Handlers permit
