Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have relevant experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field or a combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Exhibit a positive, friendly attitude and good customer interaction skills
  • Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Must be able to lift and carry products up to 70 pounds
  • Able to stand continuously up to 4 hours per shift
  • Perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • Operate a slicer and other deli equipment safely
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and food handling regulations
  • Hold or be able to obtain a Food Handlers permit
  • Work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare fresh deli products including sliced meats and cheeses
  • Arrange vegetables and deli items attractively for customer presentation
  • Assist customers with made-to-order sandwiches and catering orders
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in the deli department
  • Operate equipment such as slicers, wrapping, and cooking machines safely
  • Answer customer phone calls and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
