Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable
  • have outgoing friendly behavior with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • have ability to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
  • have good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in team environment
  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • must be able to lift carry product weighing up to 70 lbs from 4 to 60 inches for up to 4 hours
  • must be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously for total of 8 hours per shift
  • perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • operate slicer wrapping and cooking equipment
  • adhere to all safety health and weights and measures regulations and achieve and maintain a food handlers permit
  • be able to work in different temperature environments including cooler and freezer
  • other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • experience working in grocery restaurant or related field

  • ability to operate deli equipment
  • food safety knowledge

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook meals attending to customer needs
  • arrange vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches
  • assist customers with catering orders
  • maintain food safety and cleanliness standards in the deli department
  • operate slicer wrapping and cooking equipment
  • adhere to safety health and weights and measures regulations
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas
