Job Requirements
- be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- be dependable and reliable
- be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs
- be able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- perform general housekeeping duties
- operate slicers, wrapping and cooking equipment
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- work in cooler and freezer environments
- have good communication skills
- be able to take special orders over the phone
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- possess good communication skills
- show outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- demonstrate ability to work in a team and take direction
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- have food safety knowledge and achieve food handler's permit
Job Duties
- prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
- provide excellent customer service in the deli department
- arrange vegetables, sliced meats, and cheeses for made-to-order sandwiches
- assist customers with catering orders
- maintain high food safety standards
- operate and maintain deli equipment safely
- clean and sanitize work area including tables, floors, and equipment
