Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs horizontally and vertically
- Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of work areas
- Adhere to all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines including maintaining a Food Handlers permit
- Ability to work in cooler and freezer temperature environments
- Flexible schedule to meet business demands
- Reliable attendance
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field preferred
- Dependable and reliable
- Outgoing and friendly with a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to operate deli equipment safely
Job Duties
- Prepare fresh and easy meals and deli products
- Assist customers with made-to-order sandwiches and catering orders
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment
- Arrange and display deli items attractively
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping tasks in the deli area
