Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- dependable and reliable
- friendly behavior and positive attitude
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- able to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs
- able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours and total 8 hours per shift
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- operate deli equipment safely
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- ability to work in cooler and freezer environments
- other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- dependable and reliable
- outgoing, friendly behavior with positive attitude
- good communication skills
- ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- able to lift and carry products up to 70 lbs
- able to stand for long periods
- knowledge of food safety and ability to maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- prepare fresh and easy meals
- provide high level of customer service
- arrange vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches
- assist customers with catering orders
- maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- operate deli equipment including slicers and cooking devices
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the deli area
