Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- exhibit outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team
- capable of answering phones and taking special orders
- must be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs from 4 inches to 60 inches for distances up to 20 feet without assistance for up to 4 hours
- must be able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours during an 8-hour shift
- perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- obtain and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- be able to work in temperature-controlled environments such as coolers and freezers
- perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- possess experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields
- demonstrate dependable and reliable work habits
- exhibit friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction skills
- have good communication skills
- able to take direction and work well in a team environment
- capable of answering phones and taking special orders
- trained or willing to be trained in operating deli equipment and food safety
- comfortable working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare fresh and easy meals including sandwiches and deli items
- provide excellent customer service by assisting with product knowledge and catering orders
- operate deli equipment such as slicers and cooking devices
- maintain food safety and sanitation standards by cleaning work areas and equipment
- adhere to all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines including obtaining and maintaining a Food Handlers permit
- handle product delivery including lifting and carrying items up to 70 lbs
- work in temperature-controlled environments such as coolers and freezers
- perform general housekeeping duties in the deli department
