Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and handle items up to 30 pounds throughout the workday
- Availability for weekend shifts including Sundays as applicable
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and coordinate hand, eye, and foot movements
- Ability to hear and respond to customer inquiries
- Commitment to maintain product freshness, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Willingness to adhere to store safety and operational procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous deli or food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of deli product handling and food safety standards
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate slicing and weighing equipment
- Capability to train others in deli production techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
Job Duties
- Prepare, slice, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise deli products
- Maintain high standards for product freshness, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Inform guests about deli products and services
- Increase sales by handing out samples and recommending additional items
- Teach others fundamentals of deli production including mixing, scaling, slicing, cooking, frying, and finishing
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth product flow and service
- Maintain adequate department records
- Demonstrate friendly and courteous behavior to customers
