Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
high school diploma or equivalent
experience in grocery, restaurant or related field
dependable and reliable
outgoing and friendly with positive attitude
ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
good communication skills
ability to take direction and work in team
able to answer phones and take orders
able to lift up to 70 lbs and carry products
able to stand up to 8 hours per shift
perform general housekeeping and sanitation
operate slicer and other equipment
maintain safety, health and Weights and Measures standards
maintain Food Handlers permit
work in cooler and freezer
other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience
be dependable and reliable
have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
have good communication skills
ability to work in a team environment
be able to answer phones and take special orders
be able to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs
able to stand for extended periods
able to perform general housekeeping in the department
able to operate deli equipment safely
achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
be able to work in cooler and freezer environments

Job Duties

Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
provide high level of customer service in the deli department
arrange vegetables, sliced meats, and cheeses for made-to-order sandwiches
assist customers with catering orders
maintain food safety standards and sanitize the work area
operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment
adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
