Job Requirements
- Be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs
- Stand for up to 4 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain cleanliness
- Operate deli equipment safely
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Work in cooler and freezer temperature environments
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Dependable and reliable
- Outgoing and friendly with a positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work in a team
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Job Duties
- Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
- Provide high-level customer service in the deli department
- Arrange vegetables, sliced meats, and cheeses for made-to-order sandwiches
- Assist customers with special orders and catering
- Maintain food safety standards and adhere to health regulations
- Operate and maintain slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment
- Clean and sanitize work areas, including tables, floors, coolers, and freezers
