Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable
  • show an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • have good communication skills
  • ability to take direction and work in a team
  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • able to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 pounds
  • able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
  • perform general housekeeping duties
  • operate slicer and cooking equipment
  • adhere to food safety, health and Weights and Measures regulations
  • obtain and maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • work in different temperature environments including cooler and freezer
  • other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields
  • demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
  • have good communication skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 pounds
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
  • ability to operate deli equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Prepare fresh and easy meals in the deli department
  • assist customers with sandwich orders and catering needs
  • arrange vegetables, sliced meats, and cheeses attractively
  • maintain food safety standards and adhere to health and Weights and Measures regulations
  • operate deli equipment such as slicers and cooking appliances
  • clean and sanitize work areas including tables, floors, and equipment
  • answer phones and handle special customer orders
  • perform general housekeeping duties in the department
  • work collaboratively in a team environment
