Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Availability to work weekend shifts including Sundays as applicable
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, grasp, push, pull, and carry objects up to 30 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and use hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Legal authorization to work
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in deli or food service preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job
Job Duties
- Prepare, slice, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise deli products
- Maintain high standards for product freshness, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Inform guests about deli products and services
- Increase sales by handing out food samples and recommending additional items
- Teach others fundamentals of deli production including mixing, scaling, slicing, cooking, frying, and finishing
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain department records and demonstrate friendly customer relations
