Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable
- outgoing and friendly behavior
- positive attitude
- flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to take direction and work in team environment
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 pounds
- able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours during an 8-hour shift
- perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- able to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
- other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
- good communication skills
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to operate deli equipment safely
- ability to work in team environment
- food handlers permit preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
- arrange vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches
- assist customers with catering orders
- maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the deli department
- operate slicers, wrapping and cooking equipment
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- provide excellent customer service with product knowledge
