Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Show an outgoing, friendly behavior with positive attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Have good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Must be able to lift or carry products weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift with up to 4 hours continuously
  • Perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work area
  • Operate slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment
  • Assist in maintaining equipment in safe working condition
  • Be able to work in different temperature environments including cooler and freezer
  • Other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field

  • Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
  • Provide a high level of customer service and ensure that deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness of the deli department area
  • Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
  • Prepare special orders and party trays
  • Operate meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment following company standards and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris from floor, and sweeping
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
