Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Be dependable and reliable
- Have an outgoing, positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers
- Be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to lift and carry items up to 70 lbs
- Be able to stand for extended periods
- Have the ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Be familiar with operating deli equipment
- Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards
- Be able to work in cooler and freezer environments
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Be dependable and reliable
- Have and show an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Must be able to lift/carry product weighing up to 70 lbs
- Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, totaling 8 hours per shift
- Perform general housekeeping in the department and clean and sanitize work area
- Operate deli equipment and assist in maintaining it in safe working condition
- Adhere to all safety, health, and regulatory requirements and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Be able to work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer)
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Duties
- Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness of the deli department area
- Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
- Prepare special orders and party trays
- Operate meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment following company standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
