Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Outgoing and friendly with positive attitude
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
  • Ability to operate deli equipment safely
  • Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Ability to work in coolers and freezers
  • Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Food Handler's permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Ability to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
  • Achieve and maintain a Food Handler's permit

Job Duties

  • Assisting customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
  • Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the deli department area
  • Filling, maintaining, and rotating products and displays
  • Preparing special orders and party trays
  • Operating meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment following company standards and procedures
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment
  • Receiving, inspecting, and logging products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
