Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs, and stand for up to 4 hours continuously
  • Ability to operate deli slicer and other equipment
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • Maintain Food Handler's permit
  • Ability to work in cooler and freezer environments
  • Perform general housekeeping in deli area
  • Able to take special orders and answer phones

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Outgoing, friendly behavior with positive attitude
  • Ability to interact well with customers
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously per shift
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and food handling regulations including maintaining a Food Handler's permit
  • Ability to work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer)

Job Duties

  • Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
  • Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented properly
  • Maintain cleanliness of deli department area
  • Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
  • Prepare special orders and party trays
  • Operate deli equipment such as meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, and cutting tools
  • Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary deli area including cleaning shelves, floors, and workspaces
