Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds during the workday
- Willingness to work weekend shifts including Sundays as applicable
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and use hand, eye, and foot coordination
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Availability for flexible scheduling
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in deli or food preparation preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate deli equipment such as slicers and scales
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Job Duties
- Prepare, slice, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise deli products
- Maintain high standards for product freshness, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Inform guests about deli products and services
- Increase sales by handing out food samples and recommending additional items
- Teach others fundamentals of deli production including mixing, scaling, slicing, cooking, frying, and finishing
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure smooth product flow and service
- Maintain department records
- Demonstrate friendly and courteous customer relations
